Justa Knight’s Double Decker Drag Sandwich is a two-part show: an open stage for queer performers followed by a solo show for Justa’s drag birthday, celebrating a year of daft ideas, found family and an unshakeable desire to change the lyrics to every song.
Justa Knight (he/they) emerged fully formed from a manhole on Burleigh Street in August 2022 and the Cambridge drag scene hasn’t been able to get rid of him since. Justa’s goal is to give back the same energy and enthusiasm they received during their debut and so far this has resulted in three very successful shows! Double Decker Drag Sandwich will feature an open stage – creating a low-pressure, highly supportive environment for queer performers of all types to show their stuff – followed by a solo show of some of Justa’s favourite acts from his career so far: acts he thinks are underrated, acts that are too niche for regular play and redemptive performances of acts he absolutely biffed the first time.
