*advance tickets have closed, limited tickets on the door*THE FILAMENTS – Formed in 2000, the Filaments play fast and furious no-nonsense punk rock with a ripping brass section, perfectly filling the gap between Rancid’s seminal tune packed album ‘Let’s Go’ and Conflict’s political challenge on ‘The Ungovernable Force’.
Mixing their UK ’82 style punk with a wide range of influences including dub, 2-Tone influenced ska and psychobilly, these Essex guys are widely hailed as one of the UK’s premier punk bands and have toured with the likes of Leftover Crack, Roger Miret and The Disasters, The Casualties and Lars Frederiksen, and played all over the UK and Europe at gigs and festivals including Punk’n’Disorderly, Boomtown Fair, Rebellion and Glastonbury.
It’s been way too long since they have played in Cambridge (over 6 years!) and after absolutely smashing their headline set at Wotsit Called Fest in September we knew we had to get The Filaments back for another Last Gang In Town gig!
