Rock Bottom is an event put together by a group of musicians from Cambridge who want to showcase a diverse mix of musical genres in one night. God Hates Astronauts (Hard Rock), Temple (Indie-Pop/Funk), Suzi Jodie (Acoustic) and Josh Aitken (Acoustic). It is going to be a great night, with great bands and great people.

GHAGod Hates Astronauts (Headliner)

Since forming in early 2015, Cambridge based hard rockers God Hates Astronauts have been working relentlessly on trying to carve their way into the ever growing Cambridge music scene.

Originally starting out as an acoustic rock band founded by Christopher France (Vocals/ Keys), Jordan Powell (Drums), Alex Penny (Guitar) they soon started to develop their sound into heavier and more riff based music, Jordan made the transition into playing Guitar and they bought in Nathan Jackson on bass and Jack Selby on the drums giving the band a heavier edge, Alex then departed the band making the group a four piece. They started to get more gigs in the Cambridge and Ely area. After playing their first full band gig at the Innovation Night at The Maltings in Ely they got such a great response from the crowd that they were asked to come back and play again a couple months later but this time they were too headline.

They are set to put on an explosive performance. Photo by Destiny Avey-Walters.

Temple

Temple are a Indie-Pop/Funk band formed in early 2016 who perform a mix of originals and covers. They all came together in college after Nina Procopio (Vocals), Kyle Ramsden (Vocals), Anthony Trueman (Bass) their band Pamplona lost their drummer and guitarist they needed new members so they brought in their close friend James Allison on guitar and drummer Ben Moore. Their sound is reminiscent of bands like Youth Club and The 1975, but their influences span all the way from Chic to Craig David. They will not disappoint.

SuziSuzi Jodie

Suzi is an acoustic solo performer from Cambridge. From 2014-15 she fronted the Pop Punk band Rose Avenue until they split in late 2015. She then went solo and has been getting gigs in and around the Cambridge area. She has been well received and even appeared in a local newspaper twice, she is definitely one to watch. You will not be disappointed by her incredible voice and guitar playing.

Josh Aitken

Josh Aitken is an up and coming acoustic solo performer from Cambridge. He frequently plays at gigs in and around the Ely-Cambridge area and like Suzi has appeared in the Ely News a couple of times. Josh and his loop pedal are set to bring a very chilled and brilliant performance.
