Camisayo EP Launch with supports from ‘The Mardlers’ and ‘Tom Dulieu and the Revenant’

Camisayo is a folk-root act from Cambridge. Originally as a means for friends to get together, Camisayo swiftly made name for themselves in the Cambridge music scene.
Only after a year and a half of performing, Camisayo played in most of Cambridge’s music venues, and have since played further afield in Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Norfolk and London.

Their sound combines powerful bluesy vocals, intricate guitar picking, subtle percussions which are crisp and tight, and lyrics that are written straight from the heart. On stage, Camisayo show a real complicity between its members and know how to work a crowd. Camille’s energy on stage is magnetic, Tom’s guitar playing always catches the attention, and Ollie’s well thought-out drumming is the cherry on the cake.

Their music has been broadcast on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire and Cambridge 105. They are in the line-up for local and nation-wide festivals, including “How the light gets in” in South-Wales next Summer.

Camisayo will be releasing their new EP ‘Clean Slate’ on the 12th of April. Produced by the amazing singer-songwriter/producer Dan Wilde, the EP sees the release of the single ‘Keep Smiling’ along with a gorgeous music video directed by Sam J. Lance Photography & Video on the 14th of March.

– The Mardlers –

Local act ‘the Mardlers’ include some of the finest musicians Cambridge has to offer!
Lead by singer-songwriter Josh Robins, they perform a very clever and explosive mix of rock and wordy witty songs. Josh Robins’s energy on stage is impressive and will make the shyest of us dance and sing along.

‘A wordy British folk-song writer teamed up with a rock band and then this happened.
To mardle; from the Norfolk dialect meaning ‘to gossip or chat’. ‘Its a bit of a stretch but we’re gonna say it means story tellers’ – The Mardlers “Witty, observational folk songs for the millennial generation” – Rockshot magazine’

– Tom Dulieu and the Revenant –

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Tom Dulieu and the Revenant
in Cambridge as our first support act of our EP Launch.

Tom Dulieu is a singer/songwriter and performer hailing from the South/East of England.
Tom’s music has been compared to Radiohead, Paulo Nutini, Laura Marling, Bon Iver, The War on Drugs and Queens of the Stone Age.

In the past year Tom has secured himself a place as a semi-finalist in the Northcote Records Common People competition in which Charlie Fink (Noah and the Whale) was one of the judges. He has also supported upcoming artists such as Sports Team, The Dunwells and Wild Front, as well as established acts like Mark Chadwick of The Levellers in venues like The Railway in Winchester, The Horn in St Albans, and The Fighting Cocks in Kingston. He has also played shows for Banquet Records
